Ex-COE Senator wins SSG Prexy Poll

SSG ElectionWith 1495 votes, Kris Jethro O. Serdan, last year’s College of Engineering (COE) senator, won a no-battlematch presidential race in the recently concluded Supreme Student Government(SSG) poll last July 30.


In this year’s selection for the new set of student leaders, the Student’s Action Vital for Environment and Education (SAVEE) was the only party established with no opposing candidates from the position of President down to Representatives except for the College of Education (COEd) senators. The college had four candidates namely Jose Chester A. Dagami (Independent), Glenbert A. Zata (Independent),Jackielyn C. Colana and Ranie G. Fabie both from SAVEE Party.

Raymond John C. Go, SSG vice-president-elect, got 1473 tally. The newly elected senators from across colleges were: Ma. Sheena B. Monteza and Lester A. Claridad for College of Architecture and Allied Discipline (CAAD); Cheska Larissa F. Baoy and Syrah Jane Olazo for College of Arts and Sciences (CAS); Mary Grace Y. Navidad and Christian B. Liwa for College and Business and Entrepreneurship (COBE). Eljane A. Hisola and Eddeli G. Nedruda for the College of Engineering (COE); Richard C. Basibas and Julius Cesar D. Renomeron for College of Technology (COT), Dale Daniel G. Bodo and Carmelito Nomer S. Abolencia for Graduate School (GS); and for the College of Education, Jose Chester A. Dagami with 289 votes and Jackielyn C. Colana with 205 votes bested Ranie G. Fabie with 98 votes and Glenbert A. Zata with 77 votes.

The representatives were: Ma. Grace C. Tapayan for BSArch; Mark Gil B. Maasin for BSID; Krystal Claire Dingal for BAEL; Mary Grace Hidalgo for BAFI; Lyngage C. Tan Jr. for BSChem; Melvin F. Murillo for BEnS; Alvin P. Janario for BSStat; Jefrey Jocson for BSA; Forty A. Remandeman for BSE; Ruby Ann N. Villaflor for BSM; Jerlyn B. Maroto for BSOA; Christopher C. Ariza for BTTHE; Romelyn A. Delante for BTHELE; Cherrylyn Sorita for BSChe; Jeanne Razelle C. Cayson and Christian Cabusora for BSCE; Angielyn M. Sumayod for BSECE; Romeo L. Guibao Jr. for BSEE; Norman U. Bainares for BSGE; Ronald Teraza for BSIE; Lemuel S. Peque for BSIT; Rowena G. Pang for BSME; Ileth Joy B. Closa for BSHRM; and Marites M. Bardelas for GS.
