To demonstrate their commitment to excellence and quality education, the College of Education will be submitting four of its curricular programs for Accreditation Survey on August 9 – 13, 2010.
A set of accreditors from the Accrediting Agency of the Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. is scheduled to arrive on August 9 for this 3rd survey visit. They will be formally received and introduced to the EVSU Community in an Opening Program to be held on the same date. The evaluation of documents is expected to start right after this.
The Programs to be evaluated include the BSED, BSIEd, General Education Programs for third level survey and BT-HELE (Elementary Teacher Education) Program for first level survey.
Preparations for the said accreditation have been going on for two years now. The chairpersons of the different Areas to be assessed have presented their respective Program Performance Profiles long before the final schedule for accreditation has been set.
With the concerted efforts of the Area Chairpersons and the rest of the COEd Faculty members coupled with the leadership of the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Dominador O. Aguirre, Jr., and the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Rosario E. Garcia, it is hoped that all four programs will meet and pass the standards set by the accreditors.
