News EVSU Opens Admission for Bachelor in Human Services Program

Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) has officially opened applications for its newly introduced Bachelor in Human Services (BHumServ) program, the first of its kind in Region 8. This announcement follows the release of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office VIII (CHED ROVIII) Report on the Result of Preliminary Assessment (RRPA No. 3, Series of 2025), affirming the university’s capability to offer this pioneering program.

Further Studies:
Graduates may pursue a Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling degree program to qualify for the Guidance and Counseling Licensure Examination (GCLE).

Admission Details:

In light of this development, EVSU will be opening its online admission application portal, specifically for the Bachelor in Human Services program from April 8 to 16, 2025. Only applicants with GWA of 85% or higher is eligible to apply.

The admission process will follow the University’s standard procedure:

     1. PREPARE REQUIREMENTS

Submit scanned copies or clear photos of the following:

    • For All Applicants:
      • Recent 2×2 ID picture (white background, with name tag).
      • Valid ID (School ID/Passport/PSA Birth Certificate/Barangay Certificate/NBI Clearance).
    • Category-Specific Documents:
      • Senior High Graduates: Form 138 (Grade 12 Report Card) + Good Moral Certificate.
      • Grade 12 Enrollees: Form 138 (Grade 11 Report Card, 1st & 2nd semester) + Good Moral Certificate.
      • Transferees: TOR (with “For Evaluation” remark) + Honorable Dismissal/Good Moral Certificate.
      • Second Coursers: TOR + Honorable Dismissal.

       3. FILL OUT THE FORM AND UPLOAD DOCUMENTS

    • Enter accurate personal/academic details.
    • Upload clear, complete documents.

      4. CONFIRM YOUR APPLICATION

    • A confirmation link will be sent to your email. Check your Inbox or Spam folder and click the link to confirm.

      5. CHECK ADMISSION STATUS

    •  Use your Application ID and Birthdate or LRN to log in and monitor your status

     6. EXAM & INTERVIEW SCHEDULE

    • Updates regarding your admission status will be sent to your email or can be checked in the Admission Portal.
      • Qualified applicants will receive University Entrance Exam (UEE) schedule (60% weight) and Interview/Skill Test details (10% weight).
      • GWA accounts for 30% of the evaluation.

     7. DOWNLOAD & PRINT APPLICATION FORM & EXAM PERMIT

    • Once application is approved for UEE, download the Admission Application Form and Exam Permit from the admission portal. Check exam schedule in email and portal. Follow the instructions provided in the email.

    8. TAKE THE UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

    • Prepare for the exam and follow the instructions sent via email. Attend the scheduled date and time: Latecomers will not be entertained, and failure to attend will forfeit UEE slot.

    9. WAIT FOR INTERVIEW/SKILL TEST SCHEDULE

    • The Department of Counseling and Human Services ( DCHS) will send an email as regards the schedule.

   10. UNDERGO THE INTERVIEW/SKILL TEST

    • Follow the instructions sent by the department. Be sure to attend on the scheduled date and time.

   11. WAIT FOR THE LIST OF QUALIFIED APPLICANTS

    • The list of qualifiers will be posted on the EVSU website. Notifications will also be sent via email and the admission portal regarding admission status.

   12. QUALIFIED APPLICANTS MAY PROCEED WITH THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS
