In a collaborative move to advance data literacy in education and gender research, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), in partnership with EVSU through the College of Arts and Sciences’ Mathematics and Statistics Department, recently held a Training-Workshop on Statistics using JAMOVI. Following its theme “Integrating Statistics to Education and Gender Data,” the training sought to equip its participants with practical statistical skills in using JAMOVI -a free and open-source statistical software – for evidence-based research and analysis.
Dr. Thea C. Galos served as EVSU’s Training Coordinator, while PUP was represented by Assoc. Prof. Laurence P. Usona and Asst. Prof. Peter John B. Aranas, who jointly facilitated said sessions. Participants engaged in hands-on modules designed to strengthen competencies in statistical analysis, data interpretation, and the application of JAMOVI in academic and institutional research.
