News EVSU Holds Two-Day Workshop on Research Ethics Manual

The Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU), through its Office of Research, Innovation, and Extension Services (ORIES), is currently conducting a two-day Presentation, Evaluation, and Workshop of the Research Ethics Manual on August 19–20 at the ORIES Studio Room.

The event opened with the presence of key university leaders, including University President Dr. Dennis C. De Paz, Vice President for Students, Internationalization and External Affairs Dr. Analyn C. Espano, and Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services Dr. Danilo B. Pulma, along with members of the Research Ethics Committee and other university officials.

The activity aims to strengthen EVSU’s commitment to ethical research practices by refining its Research Ethics Manual to align with national and international standards.

Leading the first day discussions is Mr. Raymond G. Campo, Coordinator from the Eastern Visayas Health Research and Development Consortium (EVHRDC), who is tackling the effective management of Research Ethics Committee files and proper archiving systems—key components in ensuring accountability and transparency in research processes.

The two-day workshop reflects EVSU’s proactive steps in advancing ethical, responsible, and quality research, in line with its broader vision of academic excellence, global impact, and innovation-driven development.
