STRATEGIC POSITIONING OF OVPRIES
The Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services (OVPRIES) will serve as the institutional transformation engine of Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU). It shall not merely support academic operations; it shall shape the University’s national leadership, SDG relevance, and global competitiveness.

RANKINGS-DRIVEN PLANNING MODEL
OVPRIES adopts a rankings-driven planning philosophy as a form of global benchmarking—not vanity.
EVSU will not aspire to rankings. EVSU will engineer eligibility for rankings.
This means OVPRIES will embed the technical requirements of THE, QS, WURI, and THE Impact into its planning, budgeting, and performance systems.
