Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) demonstrates its commitment to producing career-ready graduates through strong industry-academe linkages and institutionalized student work placement programs. The University ensures that students gain meaningful exposure to real-world work environments through internships, on-the-job trainings (OJT), practicum programs, and cooperative education placements integrated into all academic curricula.

EVSU’s OJT & Job Placement Office, in collaboration with the various colleges and program chairs, facilitates partnerships with government agencies, local industries, business enterprises, and non-government organizations to ensure diverse placement opportunities across disciplines. The University maintains Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) with both local and national partners, such as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and private sector entities, to guarantee structured and supervised student work experiences.

These placements are designed not only to fulfill academic requirements but also to enhance employability, develop technical and soft skills, and foster social responsibility. Students are guided through pre-deployment orientations, monitored during their placements, and evaluated jointly by the University and partner institutions to ensure quality and relevance.

Through these concerted efforts, a significant proportion of EVSU students complete supervised work placements before graduation—demonstrating the University’s steadfast commitment to bridging education and employment, enhancing workforce readiness, and contributing to regional and national development.
