The recently concluded General Assembly of the Asian Technological University Network (ATU-Net) took place in Iligan City hosted by Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT). The gathering brought together presidents, rectors, chancellors, and key representatives from technological universities across Asia to discuss collaborative strategies and innovations aimed at advancing technological education and research in the region.
Held from November 4-5, 2024, the assembly featured a series of forums, workshops, and panel discussions focusing on challenges and opportunities in higher education, digital transformation, and sustainable development. Attendees explored the potential for joint research initiatives, exchange programs, and digital education platforms to enhance regional cooperation and foster academic and technological progress.
The Eastern Visayas State University was represented by the Vice President of Internationalization and External Affairs, Dr. Danilo B. Pulma and Prof. Faustito A. Aure, Director for Internationalization for Higher Education. The event underscored ATU-Net’s commitment to empowering its member institutions through shared knowledge and resources, supporting an agenda that aligns with the network’s vision of creating resilient and future-ready academic communities in Asia.
