News Day 1 of the In-house Review features 34 research papers

ORDEx started the 3-day Mid-Year In-house Review on September 29, 2021, with a total of 34 research presentations delivered online.

From among the 34 papers under the Engineering strand, 16 are for R&D competition and awards, specifically 7 Researches (Knowledge Generation), and 9 Development (Technology and Innovation Prototyping). The remaining 18 are already successfully published papers in peer-reviewed journals.

EVSU President Dennis C. de Paz in his welcome message emphasized how research fosters professional excellence in the delivery of outstanding education and training. This was followed by an inspirational message to the participants on the importance of educators in the conduct of research, given by Dr. Alvin C. Culaba, an EVSU alumnus, Academician of the National Academy of Science and Technology and Distinguished Full Professor of De La Salle University. Meanwhile, Dr. Pearl Aphrodite B. Carnice, the OIC-Director for Research and Development, read the Review Mechanics.

Engr. Ma. Kristina Gecain, Industry representative, and the Manager of Dispersion, Resins, Additives, Oleochemicals; Dr. Ramil Lumauag of Iloilo Science and Technology University; and Dr. Rhowell Dellosa of Isabela State University make up the panel of external evaluators of the 1st day of the activity.

Some faculty members across colleges and external campuses who were non-presenters still joined the said activity via Zoom for them to be updated with the current trends in research.

Further, more researches on Education, Humanities and the Arts shall be presented tomorrow with different sets of external evaluators.
