Det Norske Veritas (DNV) granted to Eastern Visayas State University its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System recertification during the closing meeting on December 21, 2022 at the Studio room of the Office of Research & Development, and Extension Services (ORDEx), Eastern Visayas State University.
The Lead Auditor, Ms. Jessen Jay Aguas- Reyes, in collaboration with her co-auditor, Ms. Marie Lemu Bayon, presented to the key officials of the university and other auditees the findings which comprised of four (4) noteworthy effort, nine (9) observations, and three (3) opportunities for improvement.
The University Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center (UQAAC) Director and concurrent Director of Internal Management and Services Office and University Quality Management Representative, Prof. Renato E. Martija, together with Engr. Roque Costiniano and Prof. Ruel C. Advincula, spearheaded the three-day event from December 19-21, 2022.
Also present in the event were the Vice-President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Benedicto T. MIlitante, Jr., who delivered a remarkable opening remarks; Dr. Lydia M. Morante, the Vice-President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Analyn C. Españo, the Vice-President for Research & Development, and Extension Services; Dr. Danilo Pulma, the Vice-President for Internationalization and External Affairs; Deans; Academic and Administrative Directors; Unit Heads, among others.
The University President, Dr. Dennis C. de Paz, was jubilant when he delivered his response.” We can do it better. We will continue our partnership with DNV for it breeds culture of quality.”
He further mentioned that the University is taking bold steps to achieve the plans and vision for the institution.
He declared in his commitment that the University, through the key officials, faculty, and administrative staff will continue to stretch the educational muscle to sustain the quality services the University offers to its clientele.
The activity ended with a photo opportunity among the key officials, auditors, and auditees who were present in the said memorable occasion.
