Cebu City, Philippines – On November 13-14, during this year’s Pasidungog celebration in Cebu, EVSU’s Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) received Level 2 Maturity recognition for all Human Resource (HR) systems under the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM).
The PRIME-HRM program evaluates four key HR systems: (1) Recruitment, Selection, and Placement (RSP); (2) Learning and Development (L&D); (3) Performance Management; and (4) Rewards and Recognition. EVSU first achieved Level 2 Maturity for Rewards and Recognition in 2022, followed by Performance Management in 2023. This year, EVSU completed its recognition by attaining Level 2 Maturity for the remaining systems, RSP and L&D.
Additionally, EVSU’s Associate Professor Shirley M. Siozon, a Dangal ng Bayan awardee, was honored as the university’s first-ever National Awardee in the CSC’s Honor Awards Program, a prestigious recognition for exemplary public service.
Simultaneously, 13 EVSU HRM practitioners, participated in the CSC’s Service Excellence Summit for Leaders held in the same venue.
Over the years, EVSU has made meaningful progress in improving its HR practices, making sure that every step helps build a more engaged and motivated workforce. These accomplishments not only highlight the university’s care for its employees but also its drive to keep moving forward. As EVSU pushes to become the first SMART university in the region, the institution is on the path to strengthening its HR systems even more, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence that benefits its faculty, staff and students.
