Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) is currently holding its three-day UI GreenMetric Evidence Tracking and Mapping Workshop, which officially commenced on March 16 at the ORIES Training Room.
The ongoing workshop brings together working committees assigned to the seven core pillars of the UI GreenMetric framework: Setting and Infrastructure, Energy and Climate Change, Waste, Water, Transportation, Education and Research, and Governance and Digitalization. These pillars guide the university’s efforts in assessing and strengthening its sustainability initiatives.
Participants are actively engaged in collaborative discussions, data validation, and evidence mapping to ensure that all programs, projects, and practices are properly documented and aligned with global sustainability standards. The activity aims to enhance the accuracy, organization, and completeness of the university’s submissions for the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings.
Through this continuing initiative, EVSU reinforces its commitment to environmental sustainability by promoting a more coordinated, data-driven, and inclusive approach across various offices and units.
As the workshop continues over the next few days, the university remains focused on advancing its sustainability goals and contributing to a greener and more resilient future.
