The Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) and Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) formalized their commitment to promoting volunteerism through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony held on February 18, 2025, at the EVSU GS Function Hall.
This significant collaboration was spearheaded by Prof. Mia Gretz Abapo-Ramirez, Director of External Affairs, under the Internationalization and External Affairs Office. The department plays a crucial role in initiating and facilitating partnerships with local government agencies and private sector organizations, strengthening EVSU’s engagement beyond the academic arena.
The MOA represents a shared vision between EVSU and PNVSCA to cultivate a culture of volunteerism and socio-civic engagement within and outside the university community. By encouraging students and faculty to actively participate in volunteer initiatives, the partnership aims to contribute to societal development and the overall welfare of the region.
EVSU remains committed to its mission of equipping learners with academic excellence, meaningful research opportunities, active community involvement, and principled governance—driving efforts toward a fair and sustainable future.
