News EVSU Celebrates Academic Milestone: CAAD and COE Commencement Exercises

The College of Architecture and Allied Discipline, along with the College of Engineering, held their graduation exercises at the Main Hall of the Leyte Academic Center, yesterday, June 19. They comprised the third batch of this year’s two-day Commencement Exercises.

Elated by the conferment of their respective degrees, the graduates accrued insights from the inspirational message of the Chair-Designate of the Board of Regents, Hon. Aldrin A. Darilag, PhD, CHRP, RMT, RN. “Adhering to the vision of becoming ‘A Leading State University in Technological and Professional Education,’ it is with the hope that our dear graduates of Eastern Visayas State University will make solid contributions to the nation as you become professionals who are globally competitive, ecologically sensitive, and socially responsive to the needs of the community,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Dr. Maximo C. Aljibe, CHED Regional Office VIII Director, extended his warmest felicitations with a moving affirmation to the Class of 2024. “With your transformative and resilient education, you are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of a modern workforce,” said Dr. Aljibe.

The University President, Dr. Dennis C. de Paz, underscored that every cloud has a silver lining amid life’s challenges. “As you step into a complex and ever-changing world, remember that it will require adaptability, resilience, and continuous upskilling of your capabilities to thrive and excel in your chosen paths,” he pointed out.

Dignified with their academic gowns representing their respective degrees, the graduates received their well-deserved diplomas as they crossed the stage.

These 2171 newly conferred graduates are now ready to embark on a journey of endless possibilities, unleashing their fullest potential to be of service to the country.

The 102nd commencement ceremony was attended by the University’s key officials, led by Dr. Dennis C. de Paz, Chairman of the EVSU Board of Regents, Commencement Speaker, Dr/Maximo Aljibe, faculty and staff, graduates, parents, and visitors.
