Eastern Visayas State University, in cooperation with the University Media and Development Center, University Events Management Team, Culture and Arts Office, and Pixel 8 Photography and Films staged a virtual talk on the Art of Short Film Making, Sunday, August 1 via teleconference.
The webinar gave a glimpse on the basics of short film making and was participated by novice and practicing film makers and enthusiasts in the region. The virtual gathering was also intended to orient the participants on the mechanics of the Istorya 2021, a short film competition exclusive for EVSU faculty and students. The said competition is part of the university’s month long celebration for its charter anniversary.
The resource persons of the said webinar are Mr. Bobbie Alota, a high caliber short film maker, photographer, and cinematographer; and Mr. Archie Omega, an alumnus of EVSU and one of the region’s top bill cinematographer, photographer, and short film director. Both Alota and Omega will serve as judges in the Istorya 2021 Short film contest.
