News EVSU inks MOA with CHR to establish Center for Human Rights Education

EVSU partnered with the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to establish a Center for Human Rights Education (CHRE) at the university this March 9, at the Graduate School Function Hall.

The CHRE is one of the flagship subprograms of the CHR under its Human Rights Institute Program. It aims to strengthen the commission’s mandate by developing a continuing program of research, education, and information to enhance respect for the primacy of human rights.

The ceremony concluded with the planning and drafting of the CHRE Action Plan. This comprehensive plan will outline exactly how the University will integrate human rights education into its instruction, research, and extension services.
