EVSU’s library has recently wrapped up its week-long celebration of National Book Week and Information Services Month on November 22.
Said event featured a book fair which gave faculty the opportunity to browse and recommend books to be included in next year’s collection. With an impressive lineup of titles covering finance, engineering, technology, sociology, linguistics, and the arts, the event highlighted the library’s role in supporting a wide range of academic and creative pursuits.
True to this year’s themes, “LibVOCACY: Unity towards Inclusive and Empowered Libraries” and “Magbasa, Mangarap, Magdiwang,” the library hosted activities such as photography contest and a design competition which encouraged students to express their creativity while celebrating the power of knowledge and community.
This week’s celebrations were about rediscovering the joy of learning and coming together as a community. EVSU’s Library continues its pursuit towards improving its environment to be a place where ideas grow, creativity shines, and where everyone feels welcome—reflecting the university’s commitment to empowering minds and promoting inclusivity.
