News EVSU ranked as top 3rd SUC in the region for Research Production in 2024

During the annual Philippine National Research Awards, EVSU was ranked 3rd in the region in terms of produced research for 2024 based on the number of Scopus-indexed papers, amounting to a total of 26 studies.

EVSU shares this rank with Biliran Province State University (BiPSU), which also recorded 26 publications. Notably, BiPSU was recognized as the SUC with the highest percentage growth in research output in the region. Meanwhile, Southern Leyte State University ranked 2nd with 32 publications, and Visayas State University (VSU) claimed the top position with an impressive 60 papers published in 2024.

Looking at research productivity over the past five years, EVSU remains among the top three in the region, accumulating a total of 106 Scopus-indexed studies. Leyte Normal University (LNU) ranks 2nd with 110 publications, while VSU continues to lead with an astounding 607 published studies during the same period.

In 2024, EVSU achieved its highest annual research output to date, with its researchers publishing 26 papers—a significant milestone that highlights the university’s growing research community. The EVSU community applauds the achievements and continuous development of its faculty and staff, whose expanding expertise and dedication are driving the production of impactful and effective research.
