Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) proudly celebrated receiving the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Regional Recognition for Proficiency in Quality Management – Level 2 at the EVSU Graduate School.
The award was accepted by University President Dr. Dennis C. De Paz during the ceremony, which was attended by DTI Regional Director Celerina Bato and Provincial Director Araceli Larraga as special guests.
This important recognition shows EVSU’s strong dedication to providing high-quality education. It marks a key step in the university’s journey to become one of the best schools in the ASEAN region by 2040.
EVSU started this journey in 2024 by joining the PQA Online Orientation in June and the Application Development Course in July. With help from leaders and experts in August, the university completed its application in October. After a review in December, EVSU earned the Level 2 Regional Recognition in February 2025.
This award reflects EVSU’s focus on continuous improvement, responsibility, and growth as a leading educational institution.
