Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) achieved a historic milestone by securing 16 Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) during the 37th Annual Conference of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), held in Manila from May 21 to 23, 2025.
The unprecedented accomplishment includes formalized partnerships with 10 new international institutions and 6 local universities and colleges which marks a significant leap in EVSU’s internationalization efforts and a bold step forward in its vision of becoming the National University for Resilience and Climate Action.
The newly signed MOUs establish pathways for strategic academic and research cooperation, including:
- Joint research programs and scholarly collaboration
- Exchange of faculty, students, and academic materials
- Joint supervision of Master’s and Ph.D. thesis
- Creation of double-degree programs
- Participation in academic conferences, seminars, and workshops
- Scholarship opportunities
- Summer/winter schools and internship exchanges
- Shared access to educational and research resources
These areas of cooperation are expected to empower EVSU’s colleges and satellite campuses, advancing their individual internationalization plans while aligning with the university’s broader transformation goals.
