News EVSU, Side-by-Side Alliance Hold Culminating Activity for FORGE Project Beneficiaries

EVSU, through its School of Technology, in partnership with the Side-by-Side Alliance Inc., conducted a culminating activity for its “FORGE” Extension Project.

Beneficiaries from Barangays Pitogo and Catoogan in Sta. Fe, Leyte, gathered at the ORIES Studio Room on October 24, 2025, for the culminating activity of the FORGE Project: a milestone celebrating the completion of their welding training under the EVSU School of Technology.

Through the program, the trainees honed their technical skills in welding under the guidance of EVSU’s faculty, demonstrating both competence and commitment as they move toward employment and livelihood opportunities.

Each trainee received a Certificate of Achievement in recognition of their dedication and accomplishment throughout the program.

Meanwhile, five (5) participants have already earned their National Certificate II (NC II) in Welding, with more expected to follow.

Through the FORGE Project, EVSU advances its mission of fostering economic growth and community stability by equipping beneficiaries with practical and technical skills that enhance employability and open opportunities for livelihood.

The university’s partnerships with agencies such as Side-by-Side Alliance Inc. translate education into sustainable development and empowers communities across the region.
