News EVSU strengthens ties with Terumo Corporation in MOA signing

The Eastern Visayas State University, through its School of Technology, revitalized its long-standing partnership with Terumo Corporation through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony held on November 19.

Present during the signing were key EVSU officials, including University President Dr. Dennis C. de Paz; Vice President for Students, Internationalization & External Affairs, Dr. Analyn C. Españo; School of Technology Dean Dr. Marichu Armada; and SOT department heads, along with a delegation from Terumo (Philippines).

Terumo (Philippines) Corporation is the local branch of the global medical technology company Terumo, which is known for producing high-quality medical devices and healthcare products for hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.

The partnership between Terumo and EVSU is a mutually beneficial collaboration: EVSU provides the company with well-prepared on-the-job trainees, while Terumo offers these students valuable opportunities for hands-on experience, mentorship, and industry-specific training. Terumo has recognized the exceptional quality of EVSU students and frequently hires them after their OJT, which is one of the reasons the company sought out the university as a partner.

This ongoing collaboration demonstrates the exceptional quality and employability of EVSU students, highlighting the university’s success in preparing graduates who are not only academically competent but also highly sought after by industry partners like Terumo.
