News FundLife International and EVSU seal partnership for Tech2Thrive digital mentorship project

FundLife International and Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) have officially entered into a partnership to implement the Tech2Thrive: Building Future Skills through Digital Mentorship Project, an initiative designed to strengthen the digital competencies, confidence, and career readiness of students from the EVSU Dulag Campus.

The collaboration is supported by Mentors Without Borders (MWB), FundLife’s partner non-profit organization, which designed the project to provide students with access to digital tools, structured training, and global mentorship opportunities. MWB will supply financial resources, technical expertise, curriculum frameworks, and volunteer mentors from leading technology companies, while FundLife will serve as the local implementing partner overseeing day-to-day operations.

Under the agreement, the Project will be implemented in three phases: first, the setup and provision of laptops, internet connectivity, UPS units, headsets, and a printer/scanner; second, the delivery of local training on basic computer skills, goal setting, stress management, and guided learning; and third, remote mentorship, during which participating students will be matched with industry professionals for specialized training and portfolio development.

An initial batch of 25 EVSU Dulag students will take part in the first rollout, with the potential for expansion depending on project outcomes and available funding.
As the academic host, EVSU commits to selecting qualified students, providing facilities, and designating a faculty coordinator to ensure smooth program implementation. The university will also support monitoring and evaluation efforts in compliance with data privacy and institutional guidelines.

The agreement emphasizes safeguarding, ethical conduct, and safe digital engagement, requiring all mentors and staff to undergo orientation on child protection, data privacy, and PSEAH standards.

Both institutions will conduct quarterly review meetings, culminating in an end-of-project evaluation and recognition activity for participating students.

Valid for one year, the partnership underscores the shared commitment of FundLife, MWB, and EVSU to equip young people with future-ready skills and create transformative learning opportunities for communities in Eastern Visayas.
