Abstract
This research measured the emotional state specifically the anxiety of late adolescents to late middle-aged adults at a State University in Region VIII, Philippines. The purpose was to consider the socio-demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, civil status, and religion in connection to their emotional state which is their scale of anxiety. The Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS), a standardized tool by the Psychology Foundation of Australia was administered as an instrument. Simple random sampling and descriptive statistics were obtained. As to ensuring the validity of responses the researchers used a direct administration approach. Concerning the results, it ensued that the younger the age the higher the scale of anxiety. The result also implied severe scale of anxiety for men than women. As to civil status, the result denoted moderate scale of anxiety for those singles and widowed or separated than married adults. With regard to the religion or religious beliefs, Non-Roman Catholics have more tendency to be anxious than Roman Catholics.
