The Civil Service Commission of Regional Office VIII oriented the Top Management of the University and the members of the Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board on the 2017 Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resource Actions (ORAOHRA), Sept. 8-9, 2022 at Graduate School Function Hall, Eastern Visayas State University-Main Campus, Tacloban City.
The said Seminar on the 2017 Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resource Actions (ORAOHRA) aimed to: articulate the salient features of the 2017 ORAOHRA as amended; interpret the revised policy uniformly; and discuss the various procedures in the preparation of appointments using the revised forms.
The resource speakers from CSC discussed the various topics covered in the 2017 Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resource Actions (ORAOHRA), to wit: General Policies on Appointments Employment Status and Nature of Appointment Publication and Posting of Vacant Positions and Qualification Standards by Mr. Rogelio Ramos, Senior SRS.
He further tackled the Agenda Merit Selection Plan and Human Resource Merit promotion and Selection Board, Requirements for Regular Appointments, and Procedures in the Preparation of Appointments.
Meanwhile, the Human Resource Development and IT Support Staff facilitated the evaluation/ session journal among attendees on the first day of the seminar.
Furthermore, Director Pharida Aurelia discussed the Probationary Period, Effectivity and Submission of Appointments, Disapproval/Invalidation and Recall of Approval/Validation of Appointments and Prohibitions, Other Human Resource Actions, Certain Modes of Separation-Documents Required for Records Purposes and Responsibilities of the Human Resource Management Officer.
The productive and engaging activity ended with an evaluation/ journal session by the participants.
