The University of the Philippines Los Baños – Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics (DAAE), in partnership with the Applied and Agricultural Economics Society, Inc. (AAES), will be holding the 2023 International Conference on Applied and Agricultural Economics (AECON 2023) with the theme, “Advancing Knowledge and Forging Cooperation towards Sustainable Food and Agricultural Development”. The conference will be held on 19 – 20 October 2023 via Zoom. AECON 2023 is an endeavor of DAAE and AAES to further the dialogue on the role and challenges faced by the food and agriculture sector in sustainable development while taking into account population growth. The overall objective of the conference is to enable stakeholders to cultivate their interest in food and agriculture to dialogue on issues, explore options, and nurture partnerships.
In line with this, we would like to seek your support in inviting delegates from your institution to participate and present papers on topics related to the sub-themes (i.e., food security and nutrition, technological development in food and agricultural systems, natural resource management, and governance, markets, civil society, and institutions).Attached herewith are the official invitation letter, call for abstracts, and other conference details for your reference. The deadline for the submission of abstracts is on July 31, 2023. Papers may be selected for publication in The Journal of Economics, Management & Agricultural Development (JEMAD) (ISSN: 2546-101X), an in-house peer-reviewed publication of the College of Economics and Management (CEM), UPLB.
