Greetings of peace and prosperity!

We are UP Circuit, a duly recognized academic, non-profit, and non-partisan student organization from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute (EEEI) of the University of the Philippines Diliman. One of our projects as an organization is The E-waste Project (TEP), a year-long campaign promoting awareness about the correct disposal and management of electronic waste (e-waste). For its eleventh year, we would like to share TEP’s advocacies and invite your students to participate in our two main events, the Webinar and Collection Drive. 

The webinar entitled “#TEPTalks: Empowering Youth to Tackle Electronic Waste For a Sustainable Future” aims to equip youth with adequate knowledge, tools, and resources to take action against the e-waste crisis.  #TEPTalks will be conducted on August 12, 2023 (Saturday), 2:00 PM-4:00 PM through Zoom and posted on Facebook via Facebook Live.

On the other hand, the collection drive will be conducted within the UP community. The gathered e-wastes will be sent to a DENR-accredited electronic waste recycler. The proceeds are then donated to a chosen beneficiary. The collection drive will be held on August 17-23, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, at the Engineering Lawn, Melchor Hall, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
