News R-8 SCUAA delegates shine in the ’23 NSCUAA Grand Parade

Tacloban City โ€” In a dazzling display of unity and sportsmanship, Region 8 delegates made their mark at the Grand Parade Opening Ceremonies of the 2023 National State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Games, held at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium in Capas, Tarlac, Philippines.

This remarkable event, hosted by Region III and Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) from October 1 to 6, witnessed athletes from 16 regions across the nation coming together under the theme, “Unity through Sports in State Universities and Colleges for National Development.”

EVSU proudly represented Region 8 (Eastern Visayas) alongside 10 other State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), including Biliran Province State University (BIPSU), Northwest Samar State University (NWSSU), Eastern Samar State University (ESSU), Leyte Normal University (LNU), Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT), Samar State University (SSU), University of Eastern Philippines (UEP), University of the Philippines Visayas Tacloban College (UPVTC), Visayas State University (VSU), and Southern Leyte State University (SLSU).

Our distinguished delegation, led by EVSU’s esteemed President, Dr. Dennis C. de Paz, showcased the university’s commitment to excellence in sports and education. The delegation comprised:
