The College of Architecture and Allied Discipline bustled with pride and celebration on June 10, 2024, as they honored the hard work of high-achieving students from the BS Interior Design (BSID) and BS Architecture (BSAr) programs.
The Annual CAAD Recognition Day saw attendance from students, parents, faculty, and university officials who gathered to pay tribute to the college’s brightest minds. Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Lydia M. Morante also graced the ceremony to deliver words of inspiration.
In her speech, Dr. Morante commended the students’ innovative spirit and dedication toward their pursuit of academic excellence despite the challenges brought by the COVID 19 pandemic. “You began your college education during the challenging times of the COVID 19 pandemic and despite the uncertainty of those years, you persevered. And now it’s your time to shine,” she stated.
Awards were presented by the Dean of the College of Architecture and Allied Disciplines (CAAD), Ar. Charlotte B. Montaño, assisted by the Department Heads, IDr. Veronica L. Arong and Ar. Jonah S. Cañeda. Among these awards were the Service Awards, Academic Achiever Awards, Best Thesis Awards, Comprehensive Examination Top Performer Recognition, and Most Outstanding Student Finalists Recognition.
