On June 18, 2024 at the Leyte Academic Center, a batallion of EVSU graduands marched towards the culmination of their academic journey. Clad in armors of intellect, high spirits, and mature character, each proudly represented their colleges with distinction.
The program commenced at exactly 12:00 in the afternoon and concluded at 4:30 PM. It was initiated with a strong inspirational message of sustainable and quality education by EVSU BOR Regent, Chair Aldrin A. Darilag and followed by the insightful address of the commencement resource speaker.
Hon. Judge Mario Q. Quinit delivered an exemplary speech filled with praise and inspiration. “Be the best versions of yourselves,” he stated.
Organized and professional would be the proper descriptions of how the whole event unfolded. The weather and the atmosphere indoors were in perfect harmony. The physical set up, decor, manpower, and multimedia system were up to tee. A testament of a prepared, well coordinated collaborative exercise.
The College of Technology produced 243 graduates across all its programs as mentioned by Prof. Bernard Niño Q. Membrebe, COT Dean, while the College of Education reported 443 graduates according to Dr. Herminigildo S. Badion, COEd Dean.
This commencement exercise is especially close to your dear author’s heart. With the misfortune of missing her own graduation, today served as a vicarious experience of how it is to walk on the red carpet, together with family and mentors whose encouragements, edifications, and beliefs has propelled one to finally graduate.
