The advancement in ranking reflects EVSU’s continued commitment to enhancing its academic standards, research output, and online presence. The Webometrics ranking system, managed by the Cybermetrics Lab of the Spanish National Research Council, evaluates universities based on their web visibility, transparency, and research excellence.

The Webometrics ranking system assesses over 32,000 higher education institutions worldwide, using key indicators including visibility (50%), excellence (40%), and transparency/openness (10%). These metrics evaluate both the institution’s online presence and its research impact.

While EVSU’s national ranking is yet to be finalized in this beta release of the rankings, the university previously held the 97th position among Philippine higher education institutions in 2024.
