News DENR ROVIII holds culminating activity in recognition of BSIT and BSOA interns

TACLOBAN CITY – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources Regional Office VIII (DEN ROVIII) recently held a culminating activity last June 02 at the DENR ROVIII Motorpool Building for its  interns from the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) programs of ADFC, AMA, and EVSU.

During this event, the student interns presented various outputs and shared reflections on their on-the-job experiences at DENR.

After these presentations, the interns were awarded with certificates for their valuable support and service to the various offices they were assigned within the department.

Present at the event were OIC-Assistant Regional Director, Atty. Dario O. Suarez along with various office heads and OJT coordinators.

Representing EVSU were Dr. Deborah Brosas and Dr. Ritchell Villafuerte for the BSIT interns, and Prof. Mary Ann O. Balledo-De Paz for the BSOA interns. Other school representatives were also present to show support for their students.

This activity brought a formal conclusion to the students’ internship journey and was a celebration of their dedication, professionalism, and growth throughout their time at DENR ROVIII.

The agency reaffirmed its commitment to supporting student development through meaningful training opportunities that bridge academic learning and real-world government service.
