Quezon City, Philippines – With a strong commitment to shaping future engineers into ethical and skilled professionals, delegates from the School of Engineering (SOE) at Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) – Main Campus participated in the National Civil Engineering Symposium 2025, held on September 24–25 at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
Carrying the theme “Breaking Grounds: Reshaping the Core of Nation Building,” the symposium brought together aspiring civil engineers from across the country to explore the evolving role of engineering in national development. The event featured two major components: ImmerCE 2025 – CE Career Fair & CE Laboratory Tour, and Symposium 2025 – Company, Advocacy, & Inspirational Talk. These activities provided students with hands-on exposure to industry practices, career tracks, and the ethical foundations essential to responsible engineering.
EVSU’s participation in this national gathering reflects its dedication to producing graduates who are not only technically proficient but also socially conscious and visionary in their approach to infrastructure and development. Through interactive sessions, laboratory tours, and inspirational talks from industry leaders and advocates, students gained valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the field of civil engineering.
The event also served as a platform for networking, collaboration, and inspiration hoping to immerse students in the arena of innovation while remaining grounded in the values of integrity, sustainability, and service to the nation.
