Focal persons from six (6) State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Eastern Visayas convened today for the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IPTBM) Project to discuss project updates and plans for 2026 via Zoom.
Meeting discussions focused on the 2026 work plan and activity calendar and the development of an operational manual to guide IPTBM implementation and ensure long-term sustainability.
Representing EVSU were Dr. Pearl Aphrodite B. Carnice, IPTBM Focal Person, Ms. Richelle May A. Retuerto, IPTBM Support Staff, and Ms. Ariss Varona, IPTBM Project Technical Staff.
Funded by DOST-PCAARRD, the initiative is part of Project 1B: Strengthening the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IPTBM) in Eastern Visayas State University under the RAISE Program Phase 2, which aims to enhance IPTBM operations in EVSU and intensify efforts in intellectual property protection, technology commercialization, and innovation management across partner institutions.
Participating institutions included Samar State University (SSU as host-university of the project), Visayas State University (VSU), Biliran Province State University (BiPSU), Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), University of Eastern Philippines (UEP), and Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU).
The project commenced on October 1, 2024 and will be completed on September 30, 2026.
