EVSU formally honored the dedication, loyalty, and invaluable contributions of its teaching and non-teaching personnel during PARANGAL 2026, the University’s annual Loyalty Service Awards and Retirement Recognition Ceremony.
The meaningful event gathered University officials, administrators, faculty members, non-teaching staff, retirees, and guests in a dignified setting that reflected EVSU’s deep respect for its workforce. PARANGAL 2026 served as a platform to recognize employees who have rendered 10, 20, 25, 30, and 40 years of continuous and faithful service, as well as those who have reached retirement after years of commitment to public service and higher education.
The program formally opened with a processional, followed by an invocation and the singing of the National Anthem, setting a solemn and respectful tone for the ceremony. Welcome remarks were delivered by the University Vice President for Administration, Finance and Auxiliary services, Dr. Lydia M. Morante, highlighting the significance of honoring institutional pillars whose dedication has helped shape EVSU into a resilient and progressive academic institution.
The highlight of the ceremony was the awarding of Loyalty Service Awardees and the recognition of retirees from both the teaching and non-teaching sectors. Each award symbolized years of sacrifice, perseverance, and professionalism, underscoring the vital role of employees in sustaining the University’s mandate for quality instruction, research, extension, and governance.
Messages of felicitation and inspiration were delivered by the University President Dr. Dennis C. De Paz and the Vice Presidents who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the awardees and retirees. In their messages, they emphasized that EVSU’s achievements and milestones are anchored on the collective efforts of its workforce, whose service continues to uphold the University’s values of excellence, integrity, and service to the community.
The ceremony was further enriched by EVSU chorale and EVSU’s Samleyaw group dancer with their performances and musical interludes that paid tribute to the honorees, creating a reflective and celebratory atmosphere. A special segment was also dedicated to retirees, acknowledging not only their years of service but also their lasting legacy within the University and the lives they have touched through education and service.
PARANGAL 2026 concluded with words of appreciation and a reminder of EVSU’s enduring commitment to recognize and value its people. The event reaffirmed the University’s culture of gratitude and respect, honoring those who have devoted their careers to nurturing minds, strengthening institutions, and serving the public.
