Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) has commenced its three-day Operational Planning cum Training Workshop aimed at strengthening and enhancing its Finance Support System. The activity highlights key initiatives such as training on the ESMS, implementation of the Automated Cashiering Process, and the review and updating of the University’s Five-Year Development Plan.
The workshop also covers the procurement of Common-Use Supplies and Equipment (CSE) and Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) in alignment with the New Government Procurement Act. In addition, sessions on financial reporting and compliance updates, internal controls and risk management, budget planning and utilization monitoring, audit readiness, records management and digital archiving, data privacy and cybersecurity awareness, customer service in finance operations, and performance monitoring are being conducted.
Through this initiative, EVSU continues to reinforce its commitment to efficient, transparent, and accountable financial management while enhancing service delivery to its stakeholders.
