In order to fulfill one of the four-fold functions of higher education institutions which is the conduct of extension services, Eastern Visayas State University through its University President, Dr. Dennis C. de Paz and Payag ni Lolo Iri represented by its General Manager, Mr. Ryan Paul Udtohan, formally inked a Memorandum of Agreement for the conduct of a Capability Building Program.
The MOA signing happened on August 20, 2021 at Payag ni Lolo Iri in Brgy. Sacme Tanauan, Leyte. It highlights the implementation of a comprehensive Capability Building Program through consultancy skills and other technology transfer training that will be provided by EVSU through the HRND faculty members to the employees and staff of Payag ni Lolo Iri.
Moreover, the said collaboration will not only intensify the university’s extension programs and services but will also strengthen the hospitality services in the region.
Also present during the MOA Signing are VP for Planning, Research and Development, and Extension Services, Dr. Maria Cristina Caintic; Dean of the College of Technology, Dr. Hilaria Bustamante; the father of the owner of Payag ni Lolo Iri, Mr. Felicisimo Molina; and Technical Assistant to the University President, Mr. Rex Palompon.
