News EVSU Honors Loyalty Service Awardees, Retirees

The Eastern Visayas State University, through the Human Resource and Management Office, acknowledged the longevity of service and retirement of the teaching and non-teaching personnel of the university through the Parangal 2023 at the Miguel Z. Romualdez Auditorium, February 16 at 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon.

The awards were classified into three categories: bronze for 20 years of service, silver for 25-30 years, and gold for 35-40 years.

The non-teaching personnel who made it up to this year’s bronze awardees were the following: Engr, Millan Almar D. Estorninos, Danilo B. Gabriel, Katty P. Moriel, and Pamela P. Digman; silver awardees: Susana D. Pedrosa, and, Maribel Y. Modina, and for gold awardees: Melissa T. Rinos, Ma. Paz Belen S. Diaz, Antonino P. Lacanaria, and gold awardee: Marlene U. Lim. 

Meanwhile, the teaching personnel who got the bronze award were Jonah S. Caňeda, Marvin Nilo M. De Veyra, Ma. Wendie C. Velarde, Amelita A. Tingzon, Noel A. Baguilod, Ronnie G. Cabillan, Gerry B. De Cadiz, Jessie R. Paragas, Joezenon A. Purog, Ma. Celeste F. Ripalda, Allan R. Besa, Yolanda C. Cabo, Greg S. Campos, Sheldon Ives G. Agaton, Jose Ivan J. Daga, Benedicto T. Militante Jr., Charlie A. Ripalda, and Luzviminda I. Tolosa; silver awardees: Grace N. Camasin, Daisy T. Pedere, Marites M. Bardelas, Emelita Y. Equillos, Beatrice D. Mabitad, Ronaldo Baldago, Margarita Z. Brao, Sarah G. Cajipo, Ma. Lina A. Dollete, Annabelle B. Pilapil, Fatima Socorro M. Quianzon, Senen Jude Javier A. Ruetas, Deolito V. Legaspi, Ma. Erenita Bahian, and, Delicia C. Inghug. 

The 2022 retirees were also given recognition, to wit: Dynah M. Aso, Felixberto E. Avestruz, Jr., Liza M. Buctuan, Hilaria L. Bustamante, Celedonia G. Cabillan, Myrna A. Cesar, Teresita G. Del Pilar, Ester M. Eslira, Reginaldo T. Gozo, Juliet Hanopol, Josephine A. Iballarosa (posthumous awardee), Roselyn N. Leonido, Rey C. Macalla, Marlene F. Mayo, Leonardo P. Nazaret, Shirley M. Songalia, Elena M. Zabala, Virginia L. Quilantang, and, Sansen P. Tolorio. 

The Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Lydia M. Morante, delivered her welcome remarks followed by an inspirational message from the university president, Dr. Dennis C. De Paz, “Always love your work, and you will endure the pain of work; always love the place where you are working, and surely you will make it beautiful and conducive. Always love your colleagues and workmates, and you will receive the love in return“, he uttered.

He further highlighted that everyone is integral and instrumental to the university’s development through his well-applauded line, “E-V-S-U will not be E-V-S without U.” 

The Vice-President for Internalization and External Affairs, Dr. Danilo B. Pulma, NTPA Presidents, Noli G. Teňoso, and Engr. Cleofe I Caidic threw messages of felicitation along with selected awardees, Mrs. Marlene U Lim and Dr. Fatima Socorro M. Quianzon, and retirees, Dr. Hilaria L. Bustamante and Mrs. Celedonia G. Cabillan.

The Chief Administrative Officer conveyed the closing remarks for Administration, concurrent Director for Data Privacy and Protection Office, Dr. Doris Ann S. Espina, on behalf of Dr. Analyn C. Espaňo, Vice-President for Research Development and Extension, who attended an equally important matter representing the university during the said event.
