Nueva Ecija, Philippines – EVSU continues its pursuit of research excellence through a series of benchmarking activities, with its latest visit to Central Luzon State University (CLSU) on October 7 and 8 centering around the university’s Futures Thinking project. The initiative, centered on vertical farming, is a key component of EVSU’s efforts in exploring agricultural practices and drive innovation within the field.
During the benchmarking visit, EVSU’s team was given the opportunity to immerse themselves in CLSU’s systems and best practices on indoor vertical farming. By observing and learning from CLSU’s agricultural innovations, EVSU looks to refine its own techniques and enhance its contributions to sustainable farming solutions, specifically in enhancing its indoor vertical farming capabilities.
As part of the visit, EVSU also took the opportunity to formalize its relationship with CLSU through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony. The agreement, signed on October 8, paves the way for further collaboration between the two universities, particularly in areas such as student and faculty exchange, joint academic programs, and research projects.
Following the successful visit to Central Luzon State University (CLSU), the EVSU team is scheduled to continue its exploration of agricultural innovations with visits to the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) and Urban Greens in Makati. By learning from these esteemed institutions, EVSU continues to enhance its research capabilities and foster collaboration.
