News Board top-notchers honored in ‘Sinagtala: Honoring the Brightest Stars’

During EVSU’s 118th Founding Anniversary, university officials partnered with the Student Affairs Services Office and concerned colleges to host the grand ‘Sinagtala: Honoring the Brightest Stars,’ this February 17, at the Miguel Romualdez Memorial Auditorium.

Said event provides a closer look at the university’s most accomplished alumni who aced the board exams in their respective fields.

In keeping with EVSU’s reputation as the “home of the victors”, the university’s thrust in delivering revitalized instruction speaks of the volume through the high passing percentage of its alumni in PRC-based exams for the year 2024, not to mention those alumni who were included in the top-performing examinees.

Maintaining a high-caliber faculty workforce with illustrious professional qualifications is equally instrumental in guiding these exceptional learners to greater heights. The knowledge gained and the wisdom that refined them over time have become pivotal requisites to their hard-earned success.

Highlight in this prestigious occasion includes the heartfelt testimonies crafted through the topnotchers’ stories and experiences, such as moments of sacrificing temporary respite for late-night study sessions in preparation for their respective exams, rigorous academic trials, and much more.

For one, Ms. Jessica Pagallaman shines bright as she cliched the sixth place during the September 2021 Licensure Examination for Teachers. Meanwhile, our very own Arch. Jethro A. Oftana maintains the flame of excellence that the university upholds as he secured the top spot (9th place) during the January 2024 Architects Licensure Examination. The flaming torch of prestige casts its influence across the external campuses as EVSU-Burauen alumna notched the 6th place. Ms. Clarine E. Tismo secured the coveted spot for the March 2024 Licensure Examination for Teachers. The roster of top-notch graduates was further highlighted when PRC announced that Engr. Gwyneth B. Hermoso sewed up the April 2024 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination, finishing third in one of the most challenging exams in the country.

These bright stars began with the small sparks of passion leading to the blaze of triumph that they are now cherishing. It is indeed a testament to their tenacity and diligence, bringing them to the unprecedented hallmark of success.

As their steadfast commitment to excellence emanates, may we likewise continue to ignite and sustain the fire of eminence within us, making EVSU even prouder of our humble contributions.
