Three (3) Accountancy students from Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) advanced to the Top 10 of the Essay Competition in the 2nd ASBN Student Colloquium and Student Symposium, recently held online from July 1 – August 2, 2025.

The essay competition was part of the 2nd ASBN International Conference, organized by the ASEAN School of Business Network (ASBN). Following the theme “Transforming ASEAN: Inclusive and Sustainable Futures through AI and Digital Innovation” the event brought together students from across Southeast Asia.

4th-year students Airene C. Acabado and Larhraineil Aleina A. Diamante co-authored the essay “Navigating Ethics and Sustainability in 21st Century Digital Marketing.”

Meanwhile, 2nd-year student Keirsten Faith Margarette Marquita wrote “Who Silences Innovation” and won the Best Presentation Performance in the essay competition.

Their success highlights EVSU’s growing presence in international academic events and the active engagement of students in critical discussions on digital innovation and sustainability in ASEAN.
