News EVSU Scholars Participate in Leadership Enhancement and Attitude Development (LEAD) Workshop

Scholars from Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) joined the Leadership Enhancement and Attitude Development (LEAD) Workshop, organized under the Pilipinas Shell Foundation Inc. (PSFI) scholarship program. The initiative highlights PSFI’s commitment to promoting not only academic excellence but also the holistic growth of its student-scholars.

While strong academic performance serves as the cornerstone of every scholarship, PSFI emphasizes that leadership, collaboration, resilience, and a positive mindset are equally vital to ensure scholars’ success in their academic, professional, and personal pursuits. The LEAD Workshop was crafted to complement technical knowledge with leadership skills, preparing participants to tackle real-world challenges with confidence and purpose.

Recognizing scholars as future leaders and potential catalysts for meaningful change in their communities and chosen industries, PSFI emphasizes that intellectual ability alone is not enough. Today’s dynamic environment requires emotional intelligence, adaptability, and a growth-oriented perspective—qualities the workshop sought to cultivate among participants.

The workshop centered on four key objectives: developing leadership skills, building holistic competencies, fostering a growth mindset, and promoting social responsibility. Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity, noting that the program not only strengthened their leadership abilities but also deepened their commitment to serving their peers and communities.

Through the LEAD Workshop, PSFI reinforces its mission of nurturing scholars into resilient, socially responsible leaders—individuals equipped to create lasting impact in society and contribute to the nation’s progress.
