Bulletin EVSU celebrates Women’s Month 2025
The phenomenal Maya Angelou once said, “Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women.”
The battle for EQUITABLE and EQUAL treatment of women is yet a long journey to take. Needless to say, women are the light that radiates in a society marked by oppression, discrimination, and inequality. This light ignites the passion to fight for the rights that every woman deserves, reaffirming our legal entitlement and strengthening our status in the community.
We have heard stories about abuse, harassment, and exploitation about women whose stories bled our hearts as we fight for a collective mantra of violence-free spaces.
But we will never falter, nor be silenced; We make sure that our voices will not fall on deaf ears.
Raising the banner of gender equality and women’s empowerment (GEWE), we will again portray our call to women empowerment through the brushstrokes of resilience and commitment to equal treatment of the world regardless of gender and status, carving the dynamic role of women in nation building, and that our presence signifies strength to the marginalized.
In this national women’s month celebration, EVSU is one with you in celebrating the fortitude and resilience of every woman.
