In 2024, EVSU strengthened its sustainability governance by integrating SDG-oriented strategies across academic curricula, research programs, community engagement initiatives, and campus operations. Guided by its vision to be a transformative institution for sustainable development, Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) continues to advance initiatives that promote health, wellness, and quality of life across its campuses and partner communities. In alignment with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, EVSU prioritizes the physical, mental, and emotional welfare of its students, faculty, and stakeholders through its health education programs, safe spaces initiatives, gender and development (GAD) advocacy, and collaborations with local and national health agencies.
In 2024, the university strengthened its public health research, implemented campus-wide wellness programs, and mobilized student and faculty volunteers for community health outreach, reinforcing its commitment to building a healthy, inclusive, and resilient academic community.
