News GAD establishes MOVE–EVSU Chapter to advance anti-VAWC advocacy

As part of EVSU’s ongoing Gender and Development (GAD) mainstreaming initiatives, the University’s GAD Office has established the Men Opposed to Violence against Women and Children Everywhere (MOVE) – EVSU Chapter.

The newly designated members of the MOVE–EVSU Chapter took their oaths during the main campus’ flag-raising ceremony on November 17, marking the formal launch of the unit within the University.

These men will serve as EVSU’s active advocates and partners in advancing gender equality across the institution. Their designations carries the responsibility of promoting awareness on women’s rights, advocating against all forms of violence against women and their children (VAWC), and supporting initiatives that foster a safer and more gender-responsive community.
