News EVSU welcomes CHED Commissioner Dr. Aldrin A. Darilag as new Board Chairperson

Tacloban City, May 29, 2024 – The Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) community gathered at the Miguel Romualdez Memorial Auditorium today for a “Meet and Greet” event featuring CHED Commissioner and newly appointed EVSU Board Chairperson, Dr. Aldrin A. Darilag.

The occasion marked an important milestone for the university as Dr. Darilag delivered his speech in his capacity as EVSU Board Chairperson. His speech highlighted the importance of collaboration between the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and EVSU in advancing academic excellence, research innovation, and community service.

In his message, Dr. Darilag outlined his vision for EVSU to become a leading institution in Eastern Visayas, emphasizing the need to empower students with globally competitive skills while strengthening faculty development programs. He also emphasized the role of partnerships with government agencies, industries, and international institutions in expanding opportunities for the university.

The auditorium was filled with administrators, faculty members, students, and stakeholders who warmly welcomed Dr. Darilag. The atmosphere reflected optimism and unity, as the community expressed support for his leadership and commitment to guiding EVSU toward greater achievements.
