TACLOBAN CITY – Terumo Philippines Corporation paid a courtesy visit to Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) as part of its continuing commitment to strengthen its partnership with the university through its internship program for Industrial Technology students under the School of Technology.
The visit highlighted the renewal of the collaboration between the two institutions, reinforcing their shared goal of providing students with valuable industry exposure and practical workplace experience. The partnership aims to bridge classroom learning with real-world applications in a professional manufacturing environment.
Leading the university delegation was Dr. Analyn C. España, EVSU Vice President for Academic Affairs, who formally signed the new and amended memorandum of agreement that renews Terumo Philippines’ acceptance of student interns. Under the agreement, selected students will undergo hands-on training and develop technical and livelihood skills while working within the company’s operations.
Following the courtesy meeting and signing ceremony, Terumo Philippines immediately conducted a screening process for approximately 80 EVSU Industrial Technology students who are aspiring to become interns. The screening is part of the company’s selection process to identify qualified students who will be given the opportunity to train and gain industry experience.
The renewed partnership reflects EVSU’s continued commitment to producing industry-ready graduates through strong collaborations with private sector partners. It also provides students with meaningful opportunities to enhance their competencies, gain practical knowledge, and prepare for future careers in the manufacturing industry.
