As part of the 22nd Charter Celebration of Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU), a bloodletting activity was held on its second day, bringing together students and employees in a meaningful act of compassion and service.
The activity was conducted through a partnership among EVSU, the Eastern Visayas Medical Center (EVMC), Philippine National Bank (PNB) and the EVSU National Service Training Program (NSTP), highlighting the university community’s commitment to extending help beyond the campus. Several students and employees voluntarily rolled up their sleeves and donated blood, offering a valuable gift that could help save lives and provide hope to patients in need. Beyond the celebration of EVSU’s charter, the bloodletting drive served as a reminder that service is at the heart of the university community.
Through the selfless generosity of its volunteers, the activity turned the occasion into an opportunity to make a life-saving difference. The initiative reflects EVSU’s continuing efforts to promote civic responsibility, volunteerism, and a culture of compassion among its students and employees—proving that every drop of blood donated can become a gift of life to someone in need.
