Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) students from EVSU main campus secured 2nd place in the Visayas-wide MegaChallenge 2026.

This annually held quiz challenge is organized by the Megareview and Tutorial Center, bringing together teams from State University and Colleges (SUCs) and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across Visayas for a showcase of knowledge, preparation, teamwork, and the courage to compete.

Out of 50 teams of brilliant contenders, EVSU’s Team A comprising of BSCE students Sean Rex G. Agustin, Adam Gabriel L. Estrellado with their coach Engr. Mark Kevin T. Cidro clinched the 2nd place finish, winning a P20,000 cash prize and earning the opportunity to represent the Visayas in the nationwide competitions of the same event.

The university was also well-represented by three other delegations. Main Campus’ Team B, featuring Joseph Emmanuel Arceño, Gerard Nathaniel Esoy, and Kurt Advincula was also coached by Engr. Mark Kevin T. Cidro. Meanwhile, EVSU Tanauan Campus Team A composed of Luzi Jurryl D. Laus, John Ryan V. Rosel, Jaidie Mae M. Dosdos and Team B composed of Everette M. Cadion, Argene S. Cahinde, Justin A. Grantos coached by Engr. Sheena Rose M. Caindoy.

The teams’ participation and performance in this event validates the university’s continued academic efforts and showcases our EVSUnista’s competitive excellence in the field of engineering.
