News EVSU gives 1,300 bottles of ExCITE to community frontliners

The Eastern Visayas Food Innovation Center has already produced a total of 1300 bottles of ExCITE immuno-boost drink as of March 29. Cooled and chilled, these drinks are distributed to the identified groups of COVID-19 responders. Distribution started on March 28 (Friday) as the product needs to be consumed immediately since it has no preservative. Among the recipients of the ExCITE immuno drink are the frontliners at checkpoints located at Manlurip, Marasbaras, along Maharlika Highway, Pawing, and Manlurip. Also included as recipients are the Police personnel assigned at the Eastern Visayas State University, City Health Office, City Information Office, and Checkpoints at Barangay 29, 43-A, 43-B, 44, 45, and 54-A.

EVSU production team will continue with this undertaking as long as the raw materials are available, even using other natural or organic plant sources such as buko or any fruit in season. This is EVSU’s share of its social responsibility and as part of EVSU’s anti-COVID initiatives.
